2014 Benthic Epifauna of North Wales and The Menai Straits

Benthic Epifauna
In October 2014 a research trip set out to study the benthic Epifauna in the mouth of the Menai Straits opposite Llanfairfechan in north Wales
They took 10 sand grabs from that area using the net pictured below.


Pictured below is a sample sand grab from that trip 


The Epifauna collected was preserved in formaldehyde and then the biodiversity of the area could be calculated.


These are some of the specimens from one of the sand grabs.
